1997 Water Routing Update

The stock water routing included with the 1997 SLX Pro 785 could cause catastrophic failure in certain situations. That is why it is critically important that you re-route the water to your pipes to avoid such failure! The problem usually arose in trailer loading situations where the boat sat on a ramp for a period of time that was at an incline. Water that was never evacuated from the system while at idle has the potential to drain back down the pipes from the collector and right into the crankcase! Obviously water in the crankcase is not good and some unfortunate riders would go to ride the next time out and find a seized engine. The diagram below shows how to properly modify the water routing system to not only avoid the potential problem of the stock system, but to also improve performace.
